Yreka, CA – Fatal DUI Accident on Old Highway 99
Yreka, California (November 5, 2018) – Officials have confirmed, one person was killed early Sunday evening in a traffic accident in the Grenada area. The fatal accident transpired at approximately 5:00 pm on Sunday, November 4th on Old Highway 99 near Pumphouse Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, 22-year-old Tyler Adams-Warf, of Yreka, was traveling northbound on Old Highway 99 when his white flatbed pickup went over the center divider and collided head-on with an oncoming Ford Focus in the southbound lane. Paramedics rushed to the scene of the accident and attempted to revive the driver of the Ford Focus by performing CPR and other life-saving measures, but sadly the driver succumbed to the injuries sustained in the accident and died at the scene. The name of the victim has not been released pending identification and notification of family. According to first responders, Adams-Warf was driving while under the influence of alcohol when the collision occurred. Adams-Warf was then transported to Fairchild Medical Center, where he was treated for injuries before being booked in the Siskiyou County Jail for Felony DUI.
