Young Woman Dies After Vehicle Crash in Vacaville, CA
Fatal Vehicle Crash Kills Samantha Brigham on Nut Tree Road
Vacaville, California (June 19, 2018) – A young woman died after being struck by two vehicles on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at 12:00 midnight. The accident occurred on Nut Tree Road, north of Stirling Drive, in Vacaville, California. Police officers have identified the deceased victim as 20-year old Samantha Brigham. At the time of posting, authorities have not yet released the identities of the two drivers or the make and models of their vehicles.
According to sources from the scene, the accident took place near Nut Tree Road. For reasons that are still being investigated, two vehicles crashed into Brigham as she travelled along the road. Following the accident, the two drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities and investigators when they arrived.
Paramedics administered care to the injured victim at the scene, but despite their efforts, Brigham eventually succumbed to her injuries and died.
Traffic was substantially delayed around the area of Nut Tree Road and Stirling Drive as authorities documented the accident and took statements from those involved.
Sources indicate the police have ruled out substance abuse such as drugs and alcohol as plausible causes for the accident. At present, the Vacaville Police Department is continuing its investigation into the untimely death of Samantha Brigham and the root cause of the accident itself.
