Authorities are working hard to determine what specifically caused the crash. Forensic teams will examine photographs of the crash site and inspect the Toyota Camry for mechanical issues or system failure. Officials will also consider if drunk driving, drug abuse, negligence, distracted driving, or reckless behavior played any part in the events leading up to the crash.
Also, by law, drivers are expected to decrease speed and give the right of way to pedestrians in marked and unmarked crossing zones. Based on the case, the male victim had been walking outside a marked area.
In the case of a traffic accident resulting in fatalities, the family members of the victims will have the legal rights to file a wrongful death lawsuit against the guilty party.
