Pedestrian Accidents in California
Despite California laws protecting the rights of pedestrians on roadways, thousands of pedestrians are still injured every year, and the number continues to increase. The leading cause of most pedestrian accidents is drivers’ inattentiveness, which includes texting, driving under the influence, conversing with other passengers, eating, applying makeup, and more. All drivers have a legal duty to drive responsibly and remain alert of their surroundings in order to avoid possible collisions.
For those who have obtained injuries after being struck by vehicles, it’s imperative to contact a California personal injury attorney to help with filing a personal injury lawsuit.
