Santa Fe Springs, CA – One Person Injured after Two-Vehicle Traffic Accident on Freeway in Los Angeles County

Santa Fe Springs, CA (August 2, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported that one person sustained injuries as the result of a two-vehicle traffic accident took place along an unspecified freeway route in Los Angeles County. The incident occurred at some time in the evening of Wednesday, August 1, 2018. At this time, no detailed information concerning the identities of the people involved in the crash has been revealed.

According to initial CHP reports, a tan-colored Toyota Camry and a second vehicle, light in color, were traveling down the freeway and, for indeterminate reasons, collided. As a result of the impact, the Toyota veered into a nearby ditch, while the second vehicle skidded to a halt near an embankment at an off-ramp. Two construction signposts were also knocked over in the accident.

Sometime later, paramedics were dispatched to the crash site and rendered aid to the victims. Medical personnel confirmed one of these people suffered a thumb injury. No more information about the current physical conditions of additional parties has been disclosed.

Presently, CHP has assumed authority over an investigation into the collision. As more evidence continues to surface, more information will be released to public sources.
