San Lucas, CA – One Person Loses Their Life in a Two-Vehicle Accident on Highway 101

San Lucas, CA (November 2, 2018) – Authorities are investigating a fatal accident that occurred Thursday night on a highway in San Lucas. Officials confirmed, the collision transpired at approximately 10:53 pm in the northbound lanes of Highway 101, about four miles just north of Highway 198.

According to the California Highway Patrol, at least two vehicles were traveling on Highway 101 heading northbound when suddenly they collided for unknown reasons. Police and firefighters were dispatched to the crash site and performed CPR on an unidentified victim. Paramedics transported an unspecified number of injured victims to a local hospital for treatment. Sadly, one person that was involved in this collision succumbed to the injuries that they sustained upon impact of the crash and subsequently passed away in the hospital shortly thereafter. The identity of the deceased victim has not yet been made public at this time. Authorities are working to establish a probable cause for this fatal accident.
