San Diego, CA – Man Injured in Pedestrian Crash at Rosecrans and Kurtz Street
San Diego, CA – (November 19, 2018) – A man was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle on Sunday evening in the Midway District. The accident occurred at approximately 6:15 pm on November 18th at the intersection of Rosecrans and Kurtz Street.
Officials confirmed a 65-year-old man was walking in the crosswalk in the area of Rosecrans and Kurtz Street when suddenly an oncoming 2004 Ford Pickup truck attempted to make a left turn onto Kurtz Street and struck the pedestrian. When the emergency crew arrived they found the man lying in the roadway suffering from major injuries. Paramedics transported the man to a local hospital for treatment. The 29-year-old man driving the Ford was reportedly not injured. The current physical condition of the pedestrian was not immediately established.
The San Diego Police Department has assumed authority over this investigation.
