Sacramento, CA – Diego Solidum Killed in Bicycle Accident at Winding Way and Rampart Drive
Sacramento County, CA – (November 19, 2018) – Diego Solidum has been identified as the 75-year-old man who was killed Saturday evening in a bicycle crash in Carmichael. The accident took place just before 5:20 pm at the intersection of Winding Way and Rampart Drive.
Reportedly, a 50-year-old Carmichael man was driving a red Lexus RX 400 heading eastbound on Winding Way, when suddenly the bicyclist entered the intersection riding directly into the path of the oncoming Lexus. First responders rushed to the crash site where they discovered Diego Solidum down in the roadway. Paramedics performed CPR on Solidum but sadly despite rescue efforts, he succumbed to the injuries sustained in the accident and died at the crash site. Authorities are working to determine the events that led up to this deadly accident.
At this time, this accident is under investigation.
