Redding, CA – Injuries Sustained in Multi-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 5

Redding, CA (November 1, 2018) – Authorities are investigating a two-vehicle accident that occurred Thursday morning on a freeway in Redding. The accident transpired at approximately 10:22 am on the southbound 5 Freeway at the Knighton Road off-ramp.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a white Ford Expedition and a white Subaru were traveling southbound on the 5 Freeway, when, for indeterminate reasons, the vehicles collided into one another. Sometime later, an ambulance was dispatched to the scene to offer medical aid to an unspecified number of individuals who sustained injuries upon impact of the collision. Emergency personnel used tow trucks to remove the wreckage from both vehicles off the roadway.
