Pinhole, CA – Fatal Pedestrian Accident at San Pablo Avenue and Appian Way

Pinole, CA – (November 27, 2018) – A man was fatally injured in a pedestrian accident Monday morning in Pinole. The accident took place just before 9:50 am on November 26th, at San Pablo Avenue and Appian Way.

Reportedly, a pedestrian was walking along the roadway in the area of San Pablo Avenue and Appian Way when an oncoming semi-truck struck the man pinning him under the truck. Paramedics arrived at the crash site immediately and attempted to revive the victim, but despite rescue efforts, the man died of his injuries at the scene.

The deceased victim’s name remains unknown awaiting identification an notification of family. Officials confirmed that the big rig operator remained at the scene and cooperated with police. Authorities are still trying to piece together evidence in an effort to determine what transpired prior to the initial impact.
