Monterey County, CA – Motorcyclist Dies after Fatal Traffic Accident on Molera Road

Monterey County, CA (August 8, 2018) – A local news source reported that a fatal traffic accident involving a motorcycle took place along Molera Road. The incident occurred at 1:30 PM in the afternoon on Sunday, August 5, 2018. Recently, authorities have identified the driver involved in the crash as 27-year old Salinas resident Noemi Sanchez. At this time, no detailed information concerning the identities of the deceased motorcyclist or the adult passenger and four juvenile passengers riding in Sanchez’s vehicle has been revealed.

As revealed in the article, Sanchez had been driving a 1999 GMC Suburban in front of a motorcycle on Molera Road. As the motorist decreased the speed of the vehicle to turn left, the rider attempted to pass the Suburban. On an alternative note, officials have speculated the motorcyclist had tried to swerve out of the larger vehicle’s path but ultimately rear-ended the Suburban.

Sometime later, medical officials confirmed the rider had sustained traumatic, fatal injuries during the accident.

Reports also affirmed Sanchez and the five passengers of the Suburban were not injured.

As of now, the investigation into the crash is ongoing.

We extend our most heartfelt prayers and deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased motorcyclist and wish them strength and peace of mind during this difficult, tragic time.
