Los Angeles, CA – James Findley Dies in Bicycle Accident on Avalon Boulevard

Los Angeles, CA (February 13, 2019) On the night of February 11^th, a fatal bicycle accident occurred on Avalon Boulevard near West 82^nd Street at approximately 10:25 p.m. According to the reports, a vehicle struck 55-year-old James Findley in the Florence neighborhood. Officials suspect that a driver in a second vehicle may have been racing the first driver, leading to the collision with the bicyclist.

A witness revealed that two vehicles were speeding down South Broadway right before one of them struck Findley.

Unfortunately, when emergency crews arrived at the scene, Findley had already suffered fatal injuries.

The police detained the first driver who hit the pedestrian, as well as some parked cars and a tree. He has been charged with gross vehicular manslaughter.
