Lake County, CA – Carrie Horarik and Carol Jackson Killed in Highway 29 Crash near Grange Road
Lake County, CA – (November 27, 2018) – Two women were fatally injured Saturday night in a head-on collision near Middletown. They have been identified as 46-year-old Carrie Anne Horarik and 77- year-old Carol Amsbury Jackson, both of Clearlake. The deadly crash took place just before 10:30 pm on November 24th on Highway 29, just south of Grange Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2011 Nissan Sentra driven by Horarik, was heading southbound when suddenly the driver lost control of the vehicle and crossed over the highway’s solid double yellow lines into oncoming traffic. Investigators confirmed, the Nissan drifted directly into the path of Jackson’s 1999 Ford Ranger and collided head-on. First responders, discovered that both Jackson and Horarik died of their injuries at the scene of the accident. Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation to determine what exactly transpired prior to the collision.
