Grass Valley, CA – One Person Injured after Alleged Hit-and-Run Collision on Lake Purdon Road

Grass Valley, CA (August 13, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported that one victim sustained injuries as the result of an alleged hit-and-run collision that took place along the 16400 block of Lake Purdon Road. The incident occurred at some time in the afternoon on Saturday, August 11, 2018. At this time, no detailed information concerning the identities of the people involved in the crash has been revealed.

According to the CHP report, a motorcyclist was traveling down Purdon Road when, for indeterminate reasons, the bike collided with a pedestrian. Sometime later, paramedics were dispatched to the crash site and affirmed the victim sustained major injuries including head trauma during the impact.

Later, medical personnel transported the pedestrian to a nearby hospital to receive treatment. The current physical condition of this individual was not immediately disclosed.

Authorities confirmed the motorcyclist did not stop to render aid to the victim and rode away from the scene of the accident. Officers are conducting a search for the suspect rider.

As of now, the investigation is ongoing. As more evidence continues to surface, more information will be released to public sources.
