French Gulch, Shasta County, CA – One Person Injured after Dozer Tender and Civilian Vehicle Collide at Intersection of Ford and Trinity Roads

French Gulch, Shasta County, CA (August 7, 2018) – Local authorities reported that one victim sustained injuries as the result of a brutal collision between a dozer and a smaller vehicle that took place at the intersection of Fork and Trinity Roads. The California Highway Patrol confirmed the incident occurred at approximately 8:26 PM in the evening on Monday, August 6, 2018. At this time, no detailed information concerning the identities of the civilian motorist or the dozer operator involved in the crash has been revealed.

Based on the initial CHP dispatch, a dozer tender and a smaller vehicle collided for an indeterminate reason along the area of Fork and Trinity Roads. Sometime after the crash, a single ambulance and paramedics were dispatched to the crash site and provided assistance to the people involved in the collision.

Medical personnel confirmed a person who had occupied the smaller vehicle sustained trauma to the head and neck as a result of the impact and received treatment for these injuries. The current condition of the victim has not been disclosed.

Officers did not specify if the dozer operator sustained any injuries during the impact.

Investigators are currently looking into a probable cause for this unfortunate incident.
