El Dorado County, California – Motorcyclist Injured after Collision on Highway 193
El Dorado County, California (July 8, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported that a deadly accident involving a motorcycle and pickup truck took place along Highway 193 (Georgetown Road) in the vicinity of Circle Drive and Lou Allen Lane, near Cool and Greenwood Communities. The incident occurred at some time before 7:58 PM in the morning on Sunday, July 8, 2018. Authorities have not revealed any detailed information concerning the identities of the motorcyclist and motorist involved at this time.
As per the CHP report, a motorcycle and a pickup truck were driving in the vicinity of Cool and Greenwood Communities when, for indeterminate reasons, both vehicles collided at the intersection of Circle Drive and Lou Allen Lane. Later, rescue teams of firefighters and paramedics rushed to the scene to administer treatment to the motorcyclist, who sustained severe injuries from the impact. The rider was transported to a local hospital to receive treatment, but medical personnel have not released the patient’s current physical condition.
Authorities did not reveal if the motorist was injured during the accident.
As of now, the investigation is ongoing.
