Bellflower, CA – DUI Driver Hits Four Pedestrians in Accident on Foster Road

Bellflower, CA (July 13, 2018) Four people who were standing on a sidewalk in the city of Bellflower were reportedly struck by a motorist early Friday morning. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported the accident that occurred in the vicinity of the intersection at Foster Road and Woodruff Avenue at approximately 2:00 a.m. The driver who struck the pedestrians is suspected to have been under the influence of alcohol at the time.

According to the report, the suspect revved up the engine of the vehicle, apparently in an attempt to show off for the bystanders at the nightclub directly in front of where the crash happened. The vehicle was then reportedly burning rubber and skidding as it crossed the intersection where it collided with the four pedestrians, as well as several parked cars.

Paramedics were quick to arrive on the scene as they rushed to the aid of the victims. People were sent to a local hospital with relatively minor injuries following the crash. The driver of the vehicle reportedly suffered minor injuries as well, and they were booked into jail after a short stay in the hospital.
