Apple Valley, CA – Multi-Vehicle Accident Results in Injury on Interstate 15 near Blue Cut

Apple Valley, CA – (November 12, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a multi-vehicle accident that injured at least one person Sunday night. The accident happened at about 9:20 pm on November 11th, on the southbound lanes of the 15 Freeway, just north of Blue Cut.

According to officials, an unidentified individual was driving on Interstate 15 heading southbound when the driver decided to respond to a text message. The driver looked up from the phone and slammed into a vehicle causing a four-vehicle pileup. Sometime later, paramedics arrived on the crash site and used an ambulance to transport an unspecified number of people to a local hospital for treatment of the injuries they sustained in the accident. Debris and vehicle damage filled the roadway and tow trucks were used to clear traffic lanes. No details were released identifying the people involved in the accident or the extent of the injuries sustained.

The California Highway Patrol has assumed authority over this investigation, once more evidence comes to the surface, more information will be released to public sources.
