One bicyclist was killed and another was seriously injured in a Nov. 28 accident that occurred in the vicinity of Nacimiento Lake Drive and Adelaida Road near Paso Robles. The cyclists were struck by a sport utility vehicle operated by a man who admitted to officials that he was distracted immediately prior to the incident, according to the California Highway Patrol.
